Let me start by saying I was not a newbie to the world of air fryers when I first encountered Emeril’s Power AirFryer 360. I thought I knew everything there was to know about them. I even had my own, a cost-effective little fryer from Costco that roasted vegetables and dino nuggets just fine but wasn’t anything special. I was JADED about what a really good air fryer can do. I had no idea what I was about to experience.
Then, my neighbor across the street invited me over for a happy hour. When happy hour turned into happy several-hours, and we started feeling a bit peckish, she decided to fry up some tempura cauliflower. If you shop at Trader Joe’s, you know what I’m talking about. This stuff is a STAPLE in my home.
But I had never had tempura cauliflower like this before.
The crispy texture of the tempura was divine. It was perfectly cooked — neither mushy nor too crunchy. It had an indefinable aftertaste of smokiness that seemed to hint that this tempura cauliflower had been fried in an actual, well-seasoned deep fryer, the kind that has been in use since vanilla cones at DQ were ten cents a piece. Yet they also weren’t drenched in oil, which is a trap I too often fall into when frying food.
I begged her to tell me her secret recipe. I had to know how she had transformed frozen Trader Joe’s cauliflower tempura into something so godly. Her secret?
Emeril’s Power AirFryer 360.
So I went out and bought Emeril’s Power AirFryer 360 for myself, and it has been worth EVERY penny. I’ve never invested in a kitchen tool like this before. I never imagined I’d be the type of person to rave about an air fryer on the internet to strangers. Yet here I am. I HAVE to rave about it, because God knows my friends and family are sick of hearing about it. Let me tell you exactly why I’m so obsessed.
Let’s start with how it looks. Forget the clunky eyesore air fryers you see at Costco and other stores. This one looks sleek, professional, dare I say … Sexy? It looks just like a toaster oven — A glass door so you can see what’s cooking inside and monitor done-ness, stainless steel finish, and enough space to sling multiple racks inside. Right off the bat, it elevates my kitchen environment, making it look and feel more like a professional chef’s setup. (I am by no means a professional chef.)
Then, you have the functionality. The Power AirFryer can do basically any food-heating task you can think of. Toasting. Roasting. Baking. Broiling. Not to mention defrosting, reheating, rotisserie-ing, dehydrating, and, of course, frying. My old air fryer had a lot of different functions, too, but it essentially ended up treating all food the same way. It would heat up, blast heat at the food item, and then ding when the food was done.
Not Emeril’s AirFryer. I can TELL that the heating method, airflow, and humidity actually vary depending on what setting you choose. Do you want to know how I know this? Because the food tastes 100% better. For the first time, I get the difference between roasting and baking something. I understand now how my neighbor got her tempura cauliflower to taste so good. She threw it in her Emeril’s Power AirFryer 360, and it actually fried it the way God intended.
Despite the huge variety of settings, this air fryer couldn’t be easier to use. The LED display on the front allows you to toggle between cook settings. I tend to be a bit technologically challenged when it comes to things like this, and I figured it out easily enough. If I can do it, you can do it. Trust me.
Aside from the actual air fryer, this kit also comes with several bonus items, which I appreciated. Who doesn’t love a good bonus item? These items include:
With all the different functions on the air fryer and all this extra equipment, I don’t think I’ll ever use my oven, toaster, or stovetop again. Basically everything I need to cook is contained within this one product. And again, I HAD an air fryer before this! I thought I knew them well! It turns out I just didn’t have the right air fryer, because the right air fryer changes everything. I am a firm believer in this now.
So, who is this air fryer for? Before trying food made in it, I would’ve said no one needs an air fryer this fancy. But I’ve changed my ways. At $180, it’s a bit of a financial investment, but the payment plan made it really affordable for me, and I think it’s well worth the time and effort saved using it rather than fiddling around with my oven or stovetop.
I will say that if you’re a bit of a newbie in the kitchen, all these settings and extra equipment can be overwhelming. My advice is to start slow. Start by just frying a few items or frying and toasting, and then work your way up to using the rotisserie spit. Don’t let all of the buttons, dials, and tools scare you away from the air fryer magic.
Of course, maybe you sincerely enjoy using your range or oven, or maybe you have a smaller kitchen and don’t have room for an air fryer on your countertop. In that case, this product might not be a good option for you. But if you do have the room and your number one concern in the kitchen is convenience and ease, then you’re going to love this air fryer.
It’s called the AirFryer 360 because it’s designed to circulate superheated air 360 degrees around the food inside, rather than just blasting heat at two or three sides. I think this air circulation is another reason why the food turns out so much better than in my previous air fryer experience.
I no longer risk overcooking, undercooking, or unevenly cooking my salmon, which has been an ongoing problem for me in the kitchen. Everything I’ve cooked in mine has been just the perfect amount of crispiness.
I also think it’s worth it in calories saved on fat. Frying requires using oil, of course, and as we all know, oil tends to be high in fatty calories. Air frying is naturally healthier because it requires way less oil. I think I’ve actually dropped a couple of pounds since I started using this rather than frying food on my stovetop, so that’s been another unexpected perk.
I never thought I’d be the one to wax eloquent about an air fryer that I bought online, but I think Emeril’s Power AirFryer 360 is totally worth it. It’s so much easier to make food that everyone in my family likes, the crumb tray makes cleanup super easy, and it looks great in my kitchen. Maybe I haven’t convinced you, and that’s okay. But if I have, just wait — your life is about to change.
